Rainbow Bright

Hey everyone!! I spent the day with Elana and we went to the Retrolicious warehouse sale and then we spent the day in Burbank going to all the vintage stores. I got some super cute things that I'll be doing some outfit posts on very soon!

I got to wear this super cute rainbow vintage dress that I got a couple weeks ago and it's definitely one of my favorite vintage finds so far. My hair sets haven't been coming out the way I've been liking lately so poodle it is! Vintage hair is one of those things that still even now, takes practice and I'm always learning new techniques to make it better.

Monthly Etsy Favorites

Hey friends! If you're like me, you spend hours upon hours searching Etsy for the best vintage finds. I have a ton of stuff saved into my favorites to put into my cart one day. I'm gonna add affordable vintage finds and beautiful pieces that I wish I could own. These are gonna be in my size which is large to extra large but if you're on the smaller side, you'll be able to find vintage for more affordable. Unfortunately larger sized vintage is harder to come by for cheap. I think I'll probably do a post on my favorite reproduction vintage as well because my closet is half and half currently.

These vintage cat eye glasses from His and Her Vintage are so cute but are about $350 which isn't crazy for eyewear but definitely out of my price range.

Made in the west

It's my last week of school and I'm gonna try to be adding more outfit posts to here along with some other posts. I went to Knott's today with Daniel and my roommates. We have season passes and the meal plan so we'll usually go to eat and go on one or two rides. I'm not a big fan of coasters so I usually just go to eat, shop, and take photos. I got this tee from Kaeraz, and it's literally so comfy and soft. I love that it has California's state flower on it too! They have so many cute tees so I'm definitely going to get some more.

As you know, I just dyed my hair and I was really excited to set it in my usual vintage curls but I helped Daniel with his school prom (he's a teacher) so we got home late and it was either eat In N Out at midnight or curl my hair, I chose the animal fries haha.

Outfit Details

Tee - Kaeraz
Scarf - Sidecca (purchased from Dapper Day expo, they might have some in the actual store)

How I got my hair platinum blond!

Hey everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed my hair has gotten a lot blonder! I've been trying to get my hair this blonde for about six months or so and I'm finally here. Some people have asked how I got to this color and I thought I would make a post about it.

This color is not something that can be done overnight and you can seriously damage your hair if you try. With that said I am not a professional and I did most of this myself, the first two full head bleaches were done by a professional but the rest I did myself. This is what worked for my hair and it may not work for your hair. Bleach is a very dangerous chemical and you can seriously damage your hair if you try to go to this color overnight. I will include links to everything I use so you can purchase these if you like.

My Current Favorite True Crime Books

Hey everyone! I get a lot of questions on how I find true crime books or what are my favorites so I thought I would compile a small list with a short synopsis on each book. The topics in these books might be sensitive for some people so I will be putting a trigger warning on what topics are being discussed. If you're just here for cute clothes, feel free to scroll past these posts. I also get a lot of questions on why I read true crime and find it so interesting. I am not glorifying these crimes by any means and my heart goes out for all the victims and their friends and families that have been affected by this. While I do find it interesting that people like this exist, I also think it's important to bring up mental health and how certain people slip through the cracks of the justice system. I also think it's important to educate yourself and keep yourself safe from harm. If you have any true crime recommendations, please let me know! I'm always down to read more.

Spring Dapper Day

Even though I'm no longer a passholder, I still love going to my favorite Disneyland day, Dapper Day! They have an expo in the Disneyland Hotel where you can find vintage items, reproduction items, handmade jewelry, art, and more! I love meeting up with friends and meeting people I follow on Instagram (which sounds so scary but everyone so far has been amazing!). Daniel doesn't mind dressing up and going because they usually have art to look at and he meets up with his artist friends. I've had this dress for a while now and I got it from a vintage store for only $5!!! I believe it's from the '80s because it had these ridiculous shoulder pads that I took out but it gives off a 1950's vibe and it's elastic waist, which is always my friend. I found this amazing suspender set from Amazon for Daniel and it matched my dress so perfectly! I'm so excited for Spring and I've really been loving wearing wide brim hats with flowers.

My Birthday & I'm back???

Hey everyone!! I cannot believe I have not made a post since Christmas but I started going to University and I moved out of my parent's house so you can say I've been a little busy. I finally transferred from community college after 6 years (!!!) and to a university. It's only 30 minutes from my new home in Orange County, I still work at the public library but I also got a job at my college's library AND I also got an internship with the public library so I'm honestly all over the place. I do want to keep blogging and I've been taking lots of outfit photos but I want to include my love of everything true crime here as well. I was thinking of reviewing some of my favorite true crime books that I've been reading or maybe some podcast recommendations as well. I would love to hear what you guys want to see! Thank you so much for sticking around and now on to the outfits!

Since I don't have a Disneyland pass anymore and I love theme parks and dressing up when I go to those theme parks, I had to get another pass. Knotts is so close to my house and Daniel loves the big rides but I just go for the food and taking photos. I've gotten a lot more into vintage western wear thanks for Janey at Atomic Redhead, she has the best western wear! Square dance dresses are great because they're super full and a lot of the skirts have elastic waistbands which is great for those of us, like myself, who have a hard time finding their size in vintage clothing.

Knotts has this amazing food fest called the Boysenberry Festival where they just have tons of boysenberry flavored food and everyone goes all out to dress up. I need to go again with a purple themed outfit before it ends. If you want more information on Knott's you can go to their website or Janey also has a couple Knott's blog posts (apparently this a Janey shout out post hahaha).
