Steady Clothing

Hey everyone! I have a very exciting post for today! Steady Clothing sent me some clothes to Disneybound with! Just in time for Dapper Day this weekend at Disneyland! It was a bit of a challenge because there were so many options to choose from and I also wanted to keep it simple so that way if you wanted, you could put something like this together as well.

For my first outfit I decided to Disneybound as Jessie from Toy Story. She's one of my favorite to Disneybound. This shirt from Steady Clothing is so comfy and I love the neckline, I can't wait to wear it with other casual outfits. I also will hoard anything mustard. I thought the yellow was a good way to represent her plaid western shirt. Then of course this skirt is perfect because it has the western trim on it to represent her denim. It's also so comfy and stretchy unlike a lot of wiggle skirts. I also added these cow print socks for her cow print chaps she wears.

For my second outfit, I decided to Disneybound as Wheezy from Toy Story. He's one of my favorite underrated characters. I love this black circle skirt with the buttons, it's so comfortable and it stretches. You can't see very well, but the white blouse is this really pretty lace on top and also very comfortable. He has a very easy color pallet that's easy to work with and add your own twist on it. It's just black, white and red for his bow tie.

I hope you guys enjoyed my Toy Story Disneybounds using Steady Clothing, it was so much fun to come up with these outfits!

Hello everyone!

Spooky season is coming to a end (booo) so I'm trying to do all the fall festivities I can before it ends. I've been wanting to go to Tanaka Farms for a while now because it's Hello Kitty themed! During Fall you can pick pumpkins and other veggies, and during Spring you can pick strawberries. It's so cute and if you're local I would definitely check it out.

Nesting Dolls

I'm taking a bit of a break from the spooky outfits because Tatyana Boutique sent me this dress and it's the cutest! It reminds me of small world with all the cute nesting dolls. It even has an elastic waist and comes with pockets, which is my favorite thing.

Today Daniel and I had a chill day. We went to go get sushi with his roommates and then we went to the OC Japan Fair which had a ton of amazing food but I got 2 hedgehog plushies instead because that's who I am as a person.

Hey all! Today was my very last day as an Disneyland annual passholder and I've had it for about 3 years and since then it's been one of my biggest hobbies. Disneybounding and just going to the parks in my free time has always been so fun for me. I made this choice because I really need to focus on school but also as with any community, it can be a drama filled negative environment. I just want to go to Disneyland with my friends and not be involved in all that. So I'm sad but also at the same time I'm excited to be able to focus on other hobbies like this blog!

Ears // C/o Magical Ears and More
Pins // C/o Bright Bat
Scarf // Sidecca
Top // vintage
Skirt // vintage
Boots // Depop

This is an all vintage outfit and I love it. This top is one of my very first thrifting finds when I was in high school and I bought this skirt at the end of October last year. I like it because the pumpkins look like waffles. I've always been a fan of the knee high boot trend but since I'm 5'0, it's hard to find some that fit me properly but I stumbled across these ones on Depop and they're so perfect. This is my first time wearing them because it's not cold yet but I though they would be so great with this skirt.

Orange + Black

Hey friends! I'm currently doing the 31 days of Halloween challenge. If you don't know what this is, it's basically when you dress Halloween or Fall every day of October. I'm giving myself a break on the weekends, but it's such a fun challenge to put outfits together. Especially because I wear a ton of pink and light colors and don't own a lot of orange and black. I have way more Halloween themed clothing then I thought!

I spent the day at Disneyland with my friend Haley after class. My pass expires at the end of this week so I'm trying my best to get all the outfits I can in before Saturday.

I wear these overalls all the time and they're honestly my favorite! I love the sweetheart neckline and how they're actually high waisted. It's so hard to find overalls that aren't baggy and low waisted. I got them from the big Collectif sale they have twice a year and I'm so glad because they go with every thing. I also LOVE this top from Vixen by Micheline Pitt, it's so comfortable and i'm trying to wear it with different outfits before October ends. I only own two items from her, but I want to purchase more because they're so well made and comfy. Okay and last but not least, these EARS. I actually don't wear ears to the park too often but I had to have these ones. They're so festive and iridescent and I got so many compliments. I recieved these ears from Maus Couture and they're so light and not heavy at all, they're perfect for running around the park in. She also has so many cute Halloween and Fall designs right now so you should go check her out!

Kitschy Cats + Disneyland

Another day, another spooky outfit at Disneyland! This is another outfit Sourpuss Clothing sent me and again I'm obsessed. I love their clothes so much, they're so comfortable and they come in the cutest prints. They're great if you're starting out dressing vintage because they're affordable but they're also not super fancy so you don't feel like you're wearing a costume (which is something I ran into when I started dressing vintage). This dress and the last one I posted also have pockets!! Which is such a selling point for me honestly.

Headband // C/o Retro By Red
Lipstick // Pumpkin by Limecrime
Shoes // Cat & Jack from Target

Roger's Garden

Today I spent half the day at Roger's Gardens and half the day at Disneyland. I also received some items from Sourpuss Clothing and I thought it would be perfect to wear them out today. I'm going to be splitting these posts into two since I'm going to be including some non outfit posts of the gardens.

I hope you enjoyed these non outfit photos! I just thought this place was so cool and wanted to share!

Leggings?! Who is she?!

Today was a very chill Saturday. Daniel and I planned to go on this grand adventure but Daniel didn't feel well, so we decided to stay home and watch Hilda instead (if you like animation and have Netflix, you should check it out!).  This is one of my more casual outfits but I'm going to try to do more outfit posts that cater to everyone!

Joanie Clothing sent me this top and I love it so much. It's great to dress up or down and perfect for spooky season. This is actually the only pair of leggings I own and they have a zipper so they're basically pants and the most comfortable. I was actually wearing something fancier but it was a pencil skirt and Daniel and I ate lots of Italian food, so I had to wear something comfier. A couple years ago when I started getting into dressing vintage, I just wore uncomfortable things and dealt with it. Now I'm learning you can still pull off the vintage look and be comfortable, who knew?

How I shop for vintage!

Hey everyone!

So very recently I just started the process of adding more vintage pieces into my wardrobe. It took me a while because vintage clothes can be very pricey and sometimes they just don't have things in my size. Lately though, I've been finding some really good pieces and I wanted to share how I go about finding them.

If you're new to dressing vintage, vintage reproduction is also great! It's very size inclusive, affordable, and easy to find! I can always do a post on my favorite places to buy reproduction vintage.

There is no right or wrong way to dress vintage, I often mix modern with my vintage and it gives the same look. That's why I love expressing myself through clothes so much, it's unique to you and you do what makes you happy.

So I do a lot of my online shopping/browsing on Etsy. It can be very overwhelming if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. It's all about what you type in! If it's too broad, you'll get about 1,000 search results and that can seem like a lot if you're just starting. You also want to make sure you click the vintage option (unless you're looking for vintage reproduction!) and you can also put a price limit to make sure you don't go over budget (more on price later).

Here are some of my favorite key words to type in:

- 1950's gingham/skirt dress (also type in a color if you want to get super specific)
- 1940's floral dress/skirt
- 1950's novelty skirt/dress
- "any color" western skirt/dress
- 1950 floral circle skirt/dress

You also don't have to type in the year, a lot of times things made in the 1950s are more expensive. It's also easy to find 1970s or 1980's pieces that also look the part. If you're not sure where to start you can click here for some of my favorite items on Etsy.

These are two outfits that include vintage + modern pieces but it still looks the part.

For the orange dress I just typed "vintage orange plaid dress" and this one came up. It's actually from the 1960's so I added the socks to complete the look. It also has an elastic waist, which I LOVE, and I just put a belt on it to hide it.

Socks // Amazon
Shoes // Forever 21 years ago

The purple one was a bit harder to find because the search was so broad. But I believed I typed in "1950 purple dress", "1950 purple sundress", "purple vintage sundress". I love this one because of the lace detailing at the top. It's also very comfortable to wear.

Hat // Playclothes Vintage in Burbank
Shoes // Chase and Chloe
Hair flowers // DIY

I know it can be very overwhelming at first, especially with how expensive some things can be. I learned a lot of Etsy stores offer split payment on the pricer items so if you see a dress or skirt you just have to have, you can always do that. That's how I've been able to afford my more expensive items. Some people I know have amazing luck with Ebay, but I don't really find much vintage on there but you should definitely give it a shot. I hope these tips helped you and if I think of more, I'll add them! If anyone has some tips for me, let me know!

Happy 1st day of Halloween everyone! This time of year is my favorite and I can dress like a crazy lady without looks of judgement. I started off the day by going to class and then Disneyland afterwards. It was about 90 degrees but this sweater is so perfect, I had to!
